About BEVITAL
BEVITAL AS is a Bergen-based analytical laboratory founded in 2003 by researchers from the University of Bergen. Building on decades of work in B-vitamin and one-carbon metabolism, BEVITAL provides high-precision targeted metabolomics, selected proteomics services and scientific support for studies of nutrition, cardiometabolic health, inflammation, cancer, neurodegeneration and related research fields.
Where the methods come from
Our founders began developing proprietary methods for measuring B vitamins and one-carbon metabolism as early as the 1980s. Those methods still anchor our repertoire today — refined across two decades of high-quality analytical service to research groups and industry worldwide, helping them understand how metabolism impacts health and quality of life.

The science behind the data
Bevital’s group has a strong track record of providing high-precision and reliable metabolomics data to research institutions and industries worldwide investigating nutrition, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and neurodegenerative conditions. Our analytical repertoire has been established carefully and strategically, targeting established biomarkers, specific metabolites, classes, and important metabolic pathways related to processes ranging from energy homeostasis and cellular function to inflammation, immune activation, and the gut microbiome.

All our methods are developed using authentic isotope labelled internal standards for each analyte, providing absolute quantification.
